With the highway closed, no cars from Terrace coming down and the threatening skies, turnout for the Seafest Show & Shine was expected to be light. Saturday did dawn to a slight drizzle that continued throughout the day. The turnout, with the road closed, was just as large as any sunny Seafest. Thousands of people braved the elements to look at the assembled collection of Iron. With nobody to claim the “Long Distance” award this year, Prince Rupert cars filled the spots with 27 entrants. Several cars were making their first appearance, including John Brigleo and his 1964 Corvette, winning “ Best Engine”.
Sandy Menzies with his beautiful 1968 Camero took home the vote on Saturday, winning “People’s Choice”.
