One of the premier car builders in the Northwest, Prince Rupert’s Gord Hidber, unveiled his latest ride this weekend at two regional Show & Shines, and he cleaned up on the awards.
Hidber’s ’55 Chevy won “Peoples Choice”, voted by the fans and “Best Body and Paint”, at the Prince Rupert Auto Club’s Seafest Show & Shine on Saturday.
Facing stiff competition Sunday at the Terrace show, from another beautiful ’55 Chevy. Just bought from the Barrett Jackson Auction for a rumoured $100 plus grand and a cover car in the March 2007 Chevy Rumble Magazine.
Hidber took home “Peoples Choice”, “Best 50′s” and a second place in “Appearance” at the Skeena Valley Cruizers Fathers Day Show and Shine .
Hidbers car will definitely not be another trailer queen as he recently drove the car to the Langley Loafers “Old Times Drags” in Ashcroft.
Hidber wants to take the car to Kitimat for the July 1st Show & Shine So he can “ bring it back to where it came from”.
