The 2009 North West drag racing season has been announced and five races in Terrace and Houston will again fill the season. There will be a year long points series between the five races with a winner to be announced after the last race in Terrace.

The Terrace Airport will host four races this year :
Season Opener – May 23/24
Bike Event – June 27/28
Hot August Nites – August 2/3
Memorial Weekend – August 29/30
A rain-out Weekend is set aside (if needed) – Sept 5-7
Work is under way into securing a feature car for the “Hot August Nites” event. Included in the “maybe” list is a jet powered dragster.
New this season, Smithers Harley Davidson will sponsor a Bike Event as part of the June 27/28 race.
