The Prince Rupert Auto Club’s Annual Seafest Show and Shine ran on Saturday under gorgeous sunny skies. Thousands of people wandered down third avenue to see all of the iron lined up.
Classic cars, muscle cars, race cars, bikes, trucks, sports cars, sports compacts and cars with wild stereos and paint jobs were all there to drool over.
Fans voted a new “People’s choice” winner – Dan Castelli and his Dodge Viper. There were two new awards presented this year.
One was a second “People’s choice” award for bikes. Spike Spiller was voted a winner with his custom Harley.
The second award was one which was closer to the hearts of club members. The“Best Work In Progress” award. This award was dedicated to an original member, Ed “Popster” Sklapsky, who passed away recently. This first annual award was presented to Paul Anderson and his “Altered” race car.
Besides the crop of great cars from Prince Rupert, rides came from Terrace, with the Skeena Valley Cruisers cruising in for the show.
Entries also came from Kitimat and Hazelton but the “Long Distance” winner was Dusty Steinson from Richmond and his 2009 Harley Street Bob
